 "Valle de los
Caidos-Spain", watercolor. It is one outstanding view overlooking the valley
below, where I took the reference photos for this painting. As you enter the dark
main corridor-going deep inside the mountain, you pass by spot-lighted statues that are
vaulted-ceiling tall! I remember feeling very, very small. As you reach the
center, the ceiling opens up into a brightly lit space. Watch your step! Too
many, and you will be walking on the tomb of Mr. Franco.
