{"id":114,"date":"2007-01-26T11:06:52","date_gmt":"2007-01-26T19:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bjdecastro.com\/art-blog\/2007\/01\/26\/state-fish-art-grades-4-12-postmarked-by-3-31-07\/"},"modified":"2007-01-26T11:07:29","modified_gmt":"2007-01-26T19:07:29","slug":"state-fish-art-grades-4-12-postmarked-by-3-31-07","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bjdecastro.com\/art-blog\/2007\/01\/state-fish-art-grades-4-12-postmarked-by-3-31-07\/","title":{"rendered":"State-Fish Art Grades 4-12 Postmarked by 3-31-07"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>2007 State-Fish Art Contest:\u00c2\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>A Call for Entries<br \/>\n<\/strong>Students in Grades 4-12 Eligible to Win Scholarships, Art Supplies &#038; Fishing Gear\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"style17\" align=\"left\"><span class=\"style24\"><font size=\"2\"><strong>BROOKLYN CENTER, MN\u00c2\u00a0 -\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>Students across the United States have the opportunity to win recognition and prizes while learning about state-fish species and aquatic habitats.\u00c2\u00a0 The State-Fish Art Contest uses art to spark the imagination of youth while providing lessons about fisheries conservation.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style18\" align=\"left\"><strong>A talented artist in grades 10-12 will be selected as the national \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Best of Show\u00e2\u20ac\u009d winner and will receive a $2,500 tuition scholarship to attend The Art Institutes International Minnesota <\/strong>(Ai Minnesota), a leading creative college<!--more-->\u00c2\u00a0for design, culinary and media arts education located in downtown Minneapolis.\u00c2\u00a0 The first-runner up nationally in grades 10-12 will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship to Ai Minnesota.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">One \u00e2\u20ac\u0153gallery-quality\u00e2\u20ac\u009d winning entry will also be used as the design for the 2007 <em>Art of Conservation<\/em> Stamp.\u00c2\u00a0 Proceeds from the sale of the State-Fish Art conservation stamp are used to support fisheries conservation and education projects nationwide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style18\" align=\"left\"><strong>Entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2007.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong> Winners will be announced May Day, May 1, 2007.\u00c2\u00a0 The 9th Annual Wildlife Forever State-Fish Art Contest is open to all students in grades 4 through 12.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px\" align=\"left\"><strong>To enter<\/strong>, young artists nationwide create an illustration of their chosen state-fish.
